Amazin’ Day — Saturday, March 25

--

By Jay Horwitz

You won’t be seeing things this Saturday when we celebrate our first annual Amazin’ Day. Six of our alumni, Mookie Wilson, Tim Teufel, Roger McDowell, Glendon Rusch, Turk Wendell and Howard Johnson will be stationed at different sites in NYC and Queens looking to find fans wearing a Mets hat.

The players will be handing out limited edition Mets hats for Amazin’ Day and club merchandise.

Any fan is eligible for the grand prize, which is premium tickets, throwing out a first pitch at Citi Field and getting a chance to meet the players before a game.

The alumni will be at the Queens Public Library, Wollman skating rink in Central Park, the MLB Store on Fifth Avenue, Union Square and Flushing Meadows Park.

Be sure to grab your Mets hat and hit Queens and NYC for your chance to get some Mets gear and hopefully run into one of these former Mets.
